I can't believe how good this book actually was.
I'm so glad I've read it. The first book, Throne of Glass was average, nothing special, and I had my doubts about this one. I usually don't read the sequel if I disliked the first book, but I heard some good stuff about it so I decided to give it a try.
And good thing I did.
For, this book actually has a PLOT, characters are getting more developed:
we learn more about Chaol's background,
even Dorian becomes more than a lovesick boy (I didn't like him in the first book, but he's finally becoming an individual, maturing and I like where his character is going).
Not to mention Calaena, not only is she badass as ever, but we also learn so much about her!
This book was so packed with action, romance and all the twists and turns had me on edge.
Seriously, like this one and [b:Throne of Glass|7896527|Throne of Glass (Throne of Glass, #1)|Sarah J. Maas|http://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1335819760s/7896527.jpg|11138426] were written by a different author!
Now I'm gonna wait anxiously for the third book, and if you previously shelved this as maybe, huh read it fast!
This book was everything the first one was not, but should have been.
